Our Self-Care Management Series is for anyone who experiences pain. Our Professional Massage Team will be sharing techniques, exercises and movements to help you relieve/understand pain. Each month we will focus on a specific area in the body, provide the theory and physiology of pain and what you can incorporate into your lifestyle to find more ways to heal. If you understand why you experience pain, how to apply the right movements, exercises, stretching, classes, massage techniques and realize that pain is a way the body communicates to us, we can then move towards dealing and managing it.

BGFJCC Personal Trainers Suzan Mekler and Yvette Wilmath, both Certified Trainers and Community
Health Educators, will lead these workshops and will provide education, exercises, performance skills and safety tips to improve mobility, stability and posture for all levels and abilities.


This workshop focuses on the physical fitness components of improving balance and preventing falls for all ages. Each participant will walk away with materials, actual exercises and a strong foundation of
how to implement what they learned into their daily lives. Your only requirement is to participate to gain the most benefit. Registration is required to participate. Limited seats available. Minimum of 8 participants, maximum of 12.

Headstand Yoga Workshop with Anat Shemesh
In honor of National Yoga Month

This workshop is for everyone, including beginners, with some experience in yoga but not necessarily in headstands. We will work with individuals according to their level.


Beginners will learn two headstands, which is considered the queen of all poses in the yoga world, while advanced students will have an option to learn more.


Workshop is 120 minutes in length and will be held in the Mind and Body Studio.

Registration is required to participate. Limited space available.

Ages 16 and up. Minimum of 5 participants, maximum of 20.
