Join Massage Therapist and Yoga Instructor Jo McNurlan in exploring the top four common types of pain in the body and their sources:
This NEW installment of our Pain Management Series is for anyone who experiences pain. Our Professional Massage Team will be sharing techniques, exercises and movements to help you relieve/understand pain. Each month we will focus on a specific area in the body, provide the theory and physiology of pain and what you can incorporate into your lifestyle to find more ways to heal. If you understand why you experience pain, how to apply the right movements, exercises, stretching, classes, massage techniques and realize that pain is a way the body communicates to us, then we can move towards dealing and managing it.

Yoga for Every Season : A Workshop
June 16 | 12-2pm
Bryan Glazer Family JCC | Mind and Body Studio
It’s no surprise that our bodies change with the seasons and as a result, we must adapt our practices to stay in-balance.
Lead by BGFJCC yoga instructor Libby Creagh, yoga teacher, certified shadow facilitator and reiki master, to learn how to align our energy with our surroundings. You will work through a flow, then learn breathing techniques and simple meditation to help you stay cool during the summer months.
The second part of the session will be a discussion whereupon we’ll discuss techniques to implement at home to stay cool this upcoming summer season.
Join us for this fun an enlightening class that brings together the ancient, tradition-based wisdoms of yoga and Ayurveda. Come dressed in clothes that allow you to move about freely and do not restrict your movement.
Both workshops are 120 minutes in-length and will be held in the Mind & Body Room. Registration is required to participate. Limited foot-space available. Minimum of 10 participants, maximum of 30.
